OK, we might have gotten a bit carried away with the headline, but I don’t know about you—when I saw the new Aston Martin Vanquish, I immediately got vibes of a stretched, roid-rage Audi A5 Coupe. The DB9 will always be the pinnacle of Aston Martin’s design language. In fact, Aston Martin’s designers should have evolved the DB9 in the same way Porsche has evolved the 911. Nonetheless… every time I look at the new Vanquish, I can’t shake the thought of a stretched, widebody Audi A5.
That said, the Aston Martin Vanquish lineage, first introduced in 2001, has always been the roid-rage, stand-alone model with hyper V12 performance and hyper looks. The latest generation is no exception. Like any modern supercar, its engineering, performance, and styling set a new benchmark for a new era.
The return of the Vanquish nameplate marks “the most potent flagship in its 111-year history,” says Aston Martin. And you know what? I’m certain they’ll say the same when the third-generation Vanquish is launched in six years from now.
Anyway, enough of my rambling—here’s what you need to know about the return of the Aston Martin Vanquish.
The new Aston Martin Vanquish is propelled by a modified 5.2 V12 Twin-Turbo engine developing 835PS/1000Nm.
The maximum speed of 214mph is the highest achieved in an Aston Martin series production car.
The wew chassis structure features +80mm increase in wheelbase. The Vanquish will incorporate a combination of refined comfort, supercar performance and pinpoint dynamics sets new flagship benchmark.
Bilstein DTX dampers, Electronic Rear Differential (e-diff) and AML specific 21inch Pirelli P ZERO tyres amongst technical highlights.
Full-length panoramic glass roof and bespoke, state-of-the-art infotainment system are distinctive signatures of all-new ultra-luxury interior.
The 2024 Aston Martin Vanquish is limited to under 1000 production examples each year, first deliveries are scheduled to begin in Q4. Price? It doesn’t matter, the Vanquish will sell out fast.
