Zeekr, the Chinese premium automotive brand created by Geely Group, is gearing up to introduce the Zeekr 007 to the European market. The Zeekr 007 saloon was launched earlier this year, and in the automotive industry, the product trend typically sees a saloon followed by a variant with more cargo space. While Zeekr has yet to confirm the release date for the estate version, concept artists have already rendered its form factor based on various spy shots.
The Zeekr 007, a pure electric compact saloon, is offered in five variants with prices starting at $29,000, which translates to £23,000. Let that sink in for a moment: a premium electric saloon for just £23k. Even when factoring in import taxes and other fees, the 007 Saloon would still come in under £30k.
Stefan Sielaff, formerly with Audi and Bentley, now serves as Vice President of global design at Geely Group, overseeing Zeekr’s design language. And the estate, as conceptualized by Sugar Design, follows a clean, minimalist approach both outside and in.
The Zeekr 007 saloon boasts 310 kW (415 bhp) peak power, an unverified range of between 428 miles and 540 miles depending on the variant. It utilizes Zeekr’s 75 kWh lithium iron phosphate Golden battery, which can be upgraded to a 100 kWh NMC battery for extended range.
