YouTube channel and pre-owned seller of cars, Emerald House of Cars, recently sold a used BMW M4. Not long after driving away the happy owner reported hearing a rattling emanating from the engine. So M4 was returned to get the issue looked at. A quote from a local BMW main dealer said it would cost £10,000 GBP to fix the issue which was caused by the twin-turbos.
A second opinion from a local mechanic identified a simple fix costing no more than a couple of British pounds. And additional labor costs. A simple clip fixed the rattling, job done in 15 minutes. There were no other mechanical issues found. As we always say, never trust a BMW main dealer.
