Its just another evening in Irvine California… or is it. As it turns out it isn’t so ordinary for the Orange Coast College flying instructor and his student who had to make an emergency landing in the middle of the county’s Red Hill Avenue.
Luckily for American urban planners they model the width of their streets on size of Napoleon’s ambition. That is to say America has wide streets, wide enough to accommodate an aborted take off.
Apparently the engine stopped during a routine take off and land exercise possibly as a result of a lack of throttle use during take off.
